UPDATE: 1:38 PM – U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has revealed that the number of U.S. service member fatalities has been updated to six.

The two additional deaths were service members who had been previously unaccounted for at a facility that was struck during Iran’s initial attacks in the region. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth did not disclose the facility’s location when asked about the initial report of four casualties during his press briefing on Monday morning.

The identities of the fallen are being withheld until 24 hours after next of kin notification.

According CENTCOM spokesperson Capt. Tim Hawkins, at least 18 troops were seriously wounded during Iran’s initial retaliatory attacks.

CENTCOM has not responded to questions about the extent of the injuries or whether the service members had been evacuated to U.S. military hospitals in Germany or the United States.

9:40 AM – A fourth U.S. service member was killed in action amid ongoing operations against Iran as part of Operation Epic Fury.

On Monday, U.S. Central Command confirmed that the service member was among those seriously wounded during Iran’s initial counterattacks against the United States and allied forces.

The news comes one day after the military confirmed the deaths of three U.S. service members.

The service member has not yet been identified, and information is being withheld until 24 hours after next of kin notification in accordance with military protocol.

President Donald Trump said that he may travel to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to participate in the dignified transfer of the troops’ remains or invite the families of the fallen to the White House, highlighting his administration’s commitment to honoring America’s military heroes.

These developments come after the U.S. and Israel forces launched the operation on Saturday in a coordinated effort to counter threats from Iranian leadership and military infrastructure.
