The United States consulate in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was targeted by an Iranian drone following a decisive joint U.S.-Israeli strike that directly confronted the Iranian regime’s aggression.

On Tuesday, following reports of a fire at the consulate, emergency teams responded immediately to the scene. The Dubai Media Office confirmed that the fire, resulting from a “drone-related incident near the U.S. Consulate,” had been successfully contained after 45 minutes.

The office also confirmed that no injuries were reported.

“Dubai authorities reaffirm their commitment to ensuring everyone’s safety and security,” officials stated.

Videos posted on social media showed black smoke rising near the consulate shortly after the strike occurred. Authorities revealed the drone struck the consulate’s parking lot.

This drone strike comes amid escalating regional tensions after a bold joint U.S.-Israeli strike against Iran’s leadership infrastructure, including a compound linked to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the capital city. The operation was reported to have eliminated at least 48 members of the Iranian regime, prompting retaliatory attacks by Tehran and its proxies.

Iran retaliated by launching missile and drone attacks against U.S. military facilities throughout the Middle East, including in Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. The U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia was also reportedly targeted as tensions continued to escalate across the region.

The U.S. Embassies in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Lebanon have shut down indefinitely and evacuated staff due to the safety threats from the days-long exchange of missiles and drone attacks.

The U.S. Department of State warned U.S. citizens in Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE and Yemen to leave promptly due to safety risks in the ongoing military conflict.
