The Department of Justice (DOJ) is suing the state of Minnesota for allowing men to play in women’s sports and use girl’s locker rooms.
On Monday, Attorney General Pam Bondi took to X to announce the lawsuit. In her post, Bondi stated that the DOJ acknowledges biological reality and refuses to let high school girls be subjected to this treatment.
The suit comes following recent Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) rulings from February and March limiting transgenders from using restrooms opposite of their birth sex.
“The Trump Administration does not tolerate flawed state policies that ignore biological reality and unfairly undermine girls on the playing field,” Bondi said in a press release. “This Department of Justice is proud to partner with HHS and the Department of Education to protect our girls in Minnesota and across the country.”
Attorney General Bondi says the recent behavior by Minnesota is not only unfair, but deeply inappropriate and dangerous.
