President Donald Trump released an animated video early Tuesday showcasing initial designs for his proposed presidential library, depicting a striking waterfront skyscraper in downtown Miami.
The video, which Trump shared on the platform Truth Social, offers a first look at the project. His son, Eric Trump, also posted the video on X, adding details and describing the library as a “lasting testament” to his father’s legacy.
“Over the past six months, I have poured my heart and soul into this project with my incredible team,” Eric Trump wrote, adding that the waterfront landmark would stand as a tribute to “an amazing man, an amazing developer, and the greatest President our Nation has ever known.”
In a highly controversial transfer last year, the stunning waterfront property was transferred to Eric Trump’s foundation after it was gifted by Miami-Dade College.
The federal judge initially halted the transaction, arguing that the college failed to provide sufficient advance notice for a public meeting on the deal. However, the ruling was later overturned, and college trustees voted again to cede the land to the state of Florida—handing the property to Eric Trump.
To comply with the Sunshine Law lawsuit, the deed requires that construction on a presidential library, museum, or center must begin within five years, or the land reverts to the state.
“These images have never been seen by the public – until today. Enjoy!” Eric Trump added.
The video of the proposed project shows palm tree-lined walkways, fountains and green landscaped grounds encircling the waterfront tower. The plans illustrate a military aircraft and a Air Force One plane displayed in a huge auditorium-style museum space inside the glass and gold tower.
The presidential library is currently being designed by Miami-based architecture and engineering firm Bermello Ajamil and appears to be a staggering 50-story tower.
Plans also include an amphitheater and re-creations of the Oval Office. The plans were announced amidst the construction of Trump’s White House ballroom that was recently forced to cease construction after a federal judge temporary blocked the project.
“This landmark on the water in Miami, Florida will stand as a lasting testament to an amazing man, an amazing developer, and the greatest President our Nation has ever known,” Eric Trump wrote on social media.
The release came on the same day that Governor Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) signed a law renaming Palm Beach International Airport – near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home—to the President Donald J. Trump International Airport.
“Miami deserves this building,” Eric Trump told the Miami Herald. “It will be a masterpiece, the likes of which have never been seen in Florida or really anywhere.”
