Charlie Kirk, prominent conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, was slain by an assassin’s bullet while speaking at Utah Valley University, yesterday, September 10. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injury and died. While one suspect was initially detained, he was determined not to be the shooter and was released.
As of this morning, according to FBI Director Kash Patel, the actual assassin remains at large.
The FBI announced a news conference for this morning, which is expected to take place around 9 or 9:30 a.m. Eastern. According to an FBI spokesperson, Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason will join the Bureau’s special agent in charge.
