The president believes “with a high degree of certainty” this is the shooter.
President Donald Trump appeared on Fox and Friends Friday morning to announce authorities have a suspect in the Charlie Kirk shooting in custody. “I think, with a high degree of certainty, we have him in custody,” Trump said, though he also cautioned that he’s “subject to be corrected” and doesn’t want to go too far in sharing details.
After cautioning that his information is preliminary, the president revealed that a minister who is also a member of law enforcement was able to get in touch with the suspect’s father. The father then drove his son to police headquarters.
