Anti-Israel ICC Prosecutor Ensnared in Assault Scandal – PJ Media

The International Criminal Court (ICC) chief prosecutor, who has repeatedly trumped up false charges against the nation of Israel, is now in hot water over sexual assault allegations.

A majority of ICC member nations voted April 1 to move forward with disciplinary measures against Karim Khan, the court’s chief prosecutor. Khan faces a growing scandal over sexual assault allegations, according to The Jerusalem Post and Reuters. Of the member nations, 15 voted in favor of disciplining Khan, while four voted against it and two abstained. The Post did not say which nations fell into each category, and Khan’s office refused to comment.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry pointed out that this was the same man who was supposed to be the world’s arbiter on whether or not Israel was committing war crimes. As so often happens, the woke antisemite who invented charges against Israel is turning out to be a criminal and an evil man himself.

The ministry emphatically argued, “The reports that the ICC member states’ Bureau has decided to proceed with disciplinary proceedings against prosecutor Karim Khan over allegations of sexual assault prove what Israel has been saying all along: The proceedings in the corrupt and politicized ‘International Criminal Court’ against the Prime Minister of Israel and the former Defense Minister are fabricated and baseless, engineered by a deceitful prosecutor who sought to divert attention from an investigation into his own sexual assault. The ‘ICC’ must immediately dismiss these proceedings.”

Khan previously issued arrest warrants for Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The accusations were crimes against humanity and genocide, when in fact it was Hamas that committed crimes against humanity on Oct. 7, 2023. Israeli forces then went out of their way to avoid civilian casualties in Gaza, and experts have repeatedly debunked the “genocide” assertion. Khan’s hypocrisy in using Hamas-issued casualty numbers to condemn Israel Defense Forces (who endangered their own men, trying not to kill civilians) is even more obvious now. Perhaps he empathized with sexually abusive Palestinian terrorists because of his own crimes?

Therefore, it’s quite understandable that Israel wants a thorough investigation and appropriate justice in Khan’s case.

The Jerusalem Post reported, “A report by United Nations investigators found a ‘factual basis’ for the allegations of sexual misconduct made by a female aide and that witness accounts ‘lend support to her claims,’ the sources said.”

Three judges in a different report argued that the evidence could not yet meet the standard of “beyond a reasonable doubt,” prompting multiple African nations to claim Khan was exonerated. Other countries disagreed, believing the evidence warranted further investigation and possibly punishment.

Interestingly, officials from Khan’s own office believe the evidence is strong enough that he should no longer serve as chief prosecutor, according to The Jerusalem Post, which cited a letter read during a meeting Wednesday. That’s a pretty damning condemnation from Khan’s own ideological allies.
