An F-15 fighter jet was shot down over Iran, and one of two crew members has been rescued, US officials told The Hill Friday, April 3. Iranian state media reported that the rogue nation had shot down what appeared to be a US Air Force F-15 – marking the first time Tehran has managed to down an American jet so far in this conflict.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the US sent out a C-130 and Black Hawk helicopters to look for the crew. One of the two-man team has reportedly been rescued, but the search continues for the other.
