The House Oversight Committee released footage from a closed-door deposition concerning the late pedophile sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. During the five-hour session, Hillary Clinton learned that a Republican lawmaker had leaked a clandestine photo of her — a direct violation of committee protocols.

Both Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, had resisted testifying at first but later requested for their depositions to be fully public after being threatened with Contempt of Congress charges by Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.).

Meanwhile, the issue surfaced when Clinton’s legal team raised concerns about the image circulating online. Since the committee had previously denied Clinton’s request for a public hearing, the proceedings were strictly confidential, making any unauthorized leaks a breach of the agreed-upon rules.

“I’m done with this,” Clinton remarked, visibly irked. “If you guys are doing that, I’m done. You can hold me in contempt from now until the cows come home. This is just typical behavior!”

“Oh, for heaven’s sakes,” she exclaimed, when Representative Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) admitted to posting a photo of Clinton online.

Although Boebert attempted to defend the photo, claiming she took it before the hearing officially began and that she had checked with committee staff, the leak to a conservative influencer caused the deposition to be paused for roughly 20 minutes while lawyers argued over House rules.

“It doesn’t matter, we all are abiding by the same rules,” Clinton argued, pointing a finger at the congresswoman, who then swore to delete the image.

“I’m done,” Clinton said, now standing, as her attorney called for a recess.

Following the break, Clinton’s attorney, Cheryl Mills, pointed out once more that the legal team had specifically requested an open hearing with reporters present to prevent such photographic leaks, only for the House Committee to deny that request.

“We find it unacceptable, we find it unprofessional and we find it unfair,” Mills said of the leaked photo.

Chairman Comer responded to the breach by formally admonishing the committee, labeling the photo leak “unacceptable” while simultaneously accusing Democrat members of similarly violating protocols by leaking session details to the media.

“I’ve advised my members that no photos or videos during the deposition can be released. I understand the posted photo was taken before the deposition started. That will not happen again,” he said.

Following the deposition, Boebert defended herself to NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo.

“There were Democrats and those at the minority party that were releasing information about the hearing throughout the day, topics that were discussed were being leaked to the media,” the representative said. “And so there was a lot of things that were coming out of that room, but regardless, it was a photo.”
