‘It’s like Coke having to change its name to Cuck’

So long, MSNBC. The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that the failing left-wing media network will be rebranded as MS NOW, or “My Source for News, Opinion, and the World.” In addition to dropping NBC from its name, the network will no longer be able to use the iconic peacock logo. Some have described the MS NOW name and logo, unveiled Monday, as resembling the signage for a “discount computer from 1998, not a serious news network.”
(Note: MSNBC is not a serious news network. It is a malodorous cesspool of deranged partisan shrieking and paranoid grievance-mongering.)
The change will take place later this year when MSNBC is spun off from parent company Comcast into a separate entity along with other networks such as CNBC, E!, and USA. The relatively respectable NBC News brand will remain at Comcast along with Bravo, the Real Housewives network. NBC executives claimed the move was intended to avoid “brand confusion,” but the fact that CNBC was allowed to keep its name as part of the spinoff suggests they were especially keen to distance themselves from MSNBC’s toxic brand.
(Note: MSNBC viewers also seem eager to distance themselves from the network, which is hosting a live event in October that is “shaping up to be a disaster” due to abysmally low demand for tickets.)
One media insider told the Washington Free Beacon that the rebrand would be hugely damaging for MSNBC, suggesting it was “like Coke having to change its name to Cuck.”
In the interest of giving our readers the necessary context to understand just how humiliating (and terrible for business) it will be for MSNBC to drop the legacy initials from its name and start calling itself MS NOW with a straight face, we have provided some additional analogous examples. Enjoy!
