Cole Tomas Allen, the 31-year-old teacher who was arrested in connection to the shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, has been charged with three counts, including attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump.

Federal prosecutors announced on Monday that Allen faces two gun-related charges, in addition to the attempted assassination charge.

If convicted, he could face life in prison.
